Analytical Technician

As an Analytical Technician, you will report to the Analytical and RM Lab Manager to perform a variety of routine chemical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.

 Main Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis and tests of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products samples of manufactured/intermediate products to verify conformity to specifications. 
• Records test results on batch tickets and in company’s computer operating system. 
• Organizes and maintains quality records and retains of production/intermediate batches and raw materials
• Compiles, interprets, and documents statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of tests
• Sets up, adjusts, verifies, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments
• Maintain housekeeping of the working place
• Respect the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Policy
• Evaluates retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
• Performs 5S audits or other audits according to a plan.
• Support all Quality Control related One PPG initiatives Required Competencies:

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two-year technical degree preferred
• Two years of analytical laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Candidates will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication and organizational skills
