Anesthesia Tech

Shift: 8HR Days

Hours  6am - 2:30pm or 7am -  3:30pm   This Position Also Takes Call

GENERAL DUTIES:

Assists the Anesthesia Department in the preparation of equipment and procures supplies.  Provides assistance in emergency procedures as well as elective scheduled cases.  Assists in the preparation and transportation of surgical patients.  Performs cell saving duties as necessary and assists in the maintenance of all supplies.

This position is required at times to take call when needed.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES: 

• Order and stock supplies
• Stock anesthesia carts
• Troubleshoot anesthesia machines
• Assist with normal and difficult intubations
• Assist with line insertion
• Functions as cell saver operator
• Process endoscopes
• Assist with room turnover
• Transport patients as assigned

Required:

1. Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (maintain current at all times)
2. 1-5 years experience  
3. Cell Saver training within 30 days of hire date
