Job Description - Anesthesiologist

• Call Schedule: Nights & 24-hour call coverage

• Call Type: 1st & 2nd call

• Call Response Time: 15 mins

• Call Ratio: 1:4

• Patient Volume: 4-5 cases per day

• No. of Annual Deliveries: Roughly 700-800

• Patient Demographics: Peds is not required; No high risk peds.

• Physicians in Practice: Approx. 15 (includes per diem)

• Support Staff: 2 CRNAs, Anesthesia techs, PAs, Nurses, OR techs, directors & managers.

• Case Mix: Highest volume is w/ Ortho & GS cases; Call includes OB; 100% OR and L&D.

• Duties/Procedures:

- Bread & butter surgical cases as the primary Anesthesiologist

- Regional blocks for OR cases

- No CT, neuro or cranial cases

- Might rarely supervise a CRNA

- Preferred: OB/Gyn, ortho, gen surgery, plastic surgery, vascular, colo-rectal surgery, ENT, GI, & urology.

• No. of ORs: 9 main

• Trauma Level: III

• EMR: Epic

• Temporary Privileges available: Yes

• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered

Requirements:

• NY License

• BC/BE

• ACLS & MMR
