Job Summary

We are seeking an Animal Care Giver to join our team! As an Animal Care Giver, you will spend your days tending to the animals under our care, including following guidelines for feeding, refilling water bowls, and offering treats and companionship. You will also be responsible for ensuring the environment is clean and safe for all the animals as well as walking or socializing animals as needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with all types of animals, can work on their feet for long periods of time, and can work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Follow guidelines to feed all types of animals, ensuring the proper dietary guidelines are followed

Clean and maintain pet enclosures so that every animal under your care has a safe, healthy living environment

Socialize and exercise animals under your care as needed

Interact with the animals, providing a positive human experience

Maintain proper records of all animals and care given throughout your shift

Stocking medical supplies, housekeeping/cleaning

Assisting with patient restraint and helping with prescriptions

Assisting Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians

Taking patient history, client callbacks, answering phones

Learning medical terminology

Qualifications

Must be comfortable working with animals of all sizes and types

Must be comfortable working on your feet for long periods of time

Familiarity with basic computer skills

Be able to lift and carry 40 lbs (petfood, litter, pets etc.)

Have reliable transportation

Able to work Saturdays and during weekdays

Compensation: $12.48 - $16.00 per hour
