ALCIVIA is growing and looking to add a full-time Animal Nutrition Formulation Manager either at our Cottage Grove, WI headquarters location or our Menomonie, WI location. Work Setting: Onsite and In-Office.

Pay Type: Salary, bi-weekly.

Core Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Animal Nutrition Formulation Manager Essential Responsibilities:

The Animal Nutrition Formulation Manager will lead the Nutrition Formulation Specialist team, driving the development of precise and effective nutritional solutions for livestock. This role will focus on providing leadership and coaching, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. The Nutrition Formulation Manager will be pivotal in aligning formulation practices with company goals, ensuring high-quality products and service to customers, while staying at the forefront of innovation in animal nutrition.

• Lead and manage the Animal Nutrition Formulation team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve optimal performance.
• Oversee daily formulation activities and ensure alignment with company objectives, including cost management and production efficiency.
• Collaborate with sales, nutrition, and operations teams to ensure that formulation strategies meet customer needs and support overall business growth.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline formulation workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance team productivity.
• Implement and manage a continuous improvement program to ensure that the latest nutritional research and technology are incorporated into formulation practices.
• Facilitate regular training and development programs for team members to stay current with advances in formulation software, tools, and techniques.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to animal nutrition.
• Participate in cross-functional leadership discussions to align nutrition formulation goals with broader organizational objectives.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Animal Nutrition Formulation Manager Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Nutrition, Dairy Science, or a related field; Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
• Experience in animal nutrition formulation, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.
• Experience in managing budgets, cost optimization, and performance metrics like income over feed cost (IOFC).
• Proficiency in formulation software.
• Proven experience in leading teams, driving process improvements, and managing cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven customer service experience.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and trends to make strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop team members.
• Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory standards in animal nutrition.
• Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to foster strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals and strategies.
