Ann Arbor Floor Manager

Slows Bar BQ is seeking an experienced and dedicated Ann Arbor Floor Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional service and an unforgettable dining experience. Located in the heart of Michigan, Slows Bar BQ is known for its chef-driven barbecue, extensive craft beer selection, and commitment to community. As a Floor Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly while fostering a positive environment for both guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage floor operations; ensure excellent customer service standards are met
• Supervise, train, and motivate staff to enhance service quality and team performance
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to maintain effective communication and coordinate service during peak hours
• Monitor guest satisfaction and handle any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; implement sanitation procedures
• Assist in inventory management, staff scheduling, and payroll processing
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to continuously improve team skills

• Proven experience in a managerial role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, customer service principles, and food safety standards
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
• Proficiency with Toast POS
• Prior catering experience preferred
