$20 per hour, eligible for 90-day review

Monday- Friday, 8 am to 5 pm   No Weekends!

Bring history back to life! Seeking a skilled hand with early engines, vintage drivetrains, mechanical brakes, and classic steering systems. If you know your way around carburetors, magnetos, cone clutches, and crank starters — and you love the smell of old oil — join us in preserving automotive heritage. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-starter with the skills, experience, and passion to help the continued growth and legacy of our founder, Bill Moon.  Join the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum team as an Antique Vehicle Mechanic / Restoration Technician! The Iowa 80 Trucking Museum is a nonprofit organization located on the grounds of the World’s Largest Truckstop, Iowa 80!  

Responsibilities

• Repairing/Rebuilding/Maintenance of Antique Vehicles
• Organization and Upkeep of the Shop
• Rearranging vehicle displays in the Museum.
• Erecting displays and signage
• Balancing multiple projects

• A love of antique cars/trucks
• Experience working with mechanical components of antique vehicles
• Detail oriented
• Must be able to work independently and with a team.
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum High School Graduate/GED
