Job Description - AP Coordinator - Join a Market Leader

We are on the lookout for an analytical AP Coordinator to join our diverse team at Complete Staffing Solutions in Plymouth, MA.

The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for managing the A/P invoice flow through the office from incoming mail, approval by appropriate Manager, inputting invoices into A/P, selecting invoices currently due for payment, and final filing of invoices. Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, coding, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices/expense reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Process payments in a timely and accurate manner
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments
  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls
  • Oversees AP Payment section of weekly cash flow report
  • Analyzes monthly credit card reports for accuracy and eligibility for payment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a Sage 100 environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with Sage 100 is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge in the construction field

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with accounting software programs such as Sage 100 and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Experience with Certify or other credit card expense reporting
  • Experience with data entry, General Ledger coding and reporting
  • Experience with Purchase Order processing from entry to verification of receipt
