AP Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Manager with expertise in utilizing NetSuite, a cloud-based financial management solution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. As an integral part of our finance team, the Accounts Payable Manager will play a key role in optimizing the use of NetSuite to streamline processes and enhance overall financial operations.

NetSuite Expertise or another ERP: Preferred.

Utilize in-depth knowledge of NetSuite functionality to optimize and enhance accounts payable processes.

Provide guidance and support to the finance team on NetSuite best practices.

Accounts Payable Management: Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment processing. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in NetSuite. 

Manage invoice processes to ensure timely approval or discrepancy resolution, this includes utilizing and monitoring workflows and shared spreadsheets and following up as needed. Experience managing corporate credit card program, including monthly reconciliation. Experienced in month-end closing. 

Prior 1099 experience. Sales tax exemption understanding a plus. 

Process Improvement: 

Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the accounts payable function using NetSuite capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and streamline workflows. 

Compliance and Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic reviews and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Vendor Relations: 

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to resolve issues, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure timely payments. Collaborate with procurement to optimize vendor relationships and negotiate contracts. 

Reporting and Analysis :

Generate and analyze reports from NetSuite to provide insights into accounts payable performance. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve departmental efficiency. 

Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounts payable staff, providing guidance, training, and support. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Or 5 or more years of equivalent experience. Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager with a focus on NetSuite. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. NetSuite certification is a plus.
