AP Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate processing of Third Party and Intercompany invoices, as well as conducting statement audits and problem resolutions, for multiple company payables.\n\n * Accurately process vendor invoices by verifying details, resolving discrepancies, and entering data into the system.\n\n * Prepare and organize original documents for imaging and filing according to established procedures.\n\n * Review and process check and refund requests; verify accuracy, resolve issues, enter supporting data, and attach required documentation for audit purposes.\n\n * Ensure all payments are processed in accordance with SLB payment terms and compliance standards.\n\n * Respond to phone calls, emails, and walk\u2011in inquiries; conduct research as needed and provide timely, accurate resolutions.\n\n * Review and analyze vendor accounts to ensure accuracy, monitor credit balances, and request cash refunds when appropriate.Demonstrate working knowledge of W\u20119 and 1099 processes to support accurate vendor and tax reporting.\n\n * Manage incoming and outgoing mail, maintain record\u2011retention files, and assist with special projects as assigned.\n\n * Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.\n\n * Communicate effectively with peers, internal teams, and external partners to support strong working relationships.\n\n * Use word processing and spreadsheet applications with proficiency to complete daily tasks.\n\n * Build and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders.\n\n * Identify issues, analyze information, and apply problem\u2011solving skills to reach effective solutions.\n\n * Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive or proprietary information.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n\n\n\n\nSLB is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. SLB is a VEVRAA Federal Contractor\u2014priority referral Protected Veterans requested.\n\nMinimum Qualifications \u0026 Experience:\n\n * Three years of accounts payable experience is preferred.\n * Associates or Bachelor\u0027s Degree in Accounting is preferred.\n * Experience with Oracle Financial Systems and BPCS (AS400) operating systems is recommended.\n * Demonstrates strong analytical abilities, sound decision\u2011making skills, and the ability to estimate project scope and complexity. Able to develop creative and effective solutions to challenges.\n * Capable of working independently or within a team; possesses project management skills; able to mentor others; and can set, manage, and achieve objectives.\n * Strong oral and written communication abilities. Customer\u2011service oriented and comfortable interacting with peers, subordinates, and senior management regarding areas of responsibility.\n * Knowledge of how the role interacts with other business disciplines; understanding of Company strategy; and familiarity with QHSE Management principles.\n * This role follows a full time schedule and requires regular in\u2011person work at our Florence, KY office.
