Pay: $40.50 - $49. 50 per hour, plus $5 additional

Shift: Start at 7:30 AM, no predefined shift - depends on census

Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and effective patient care in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Perform all aspects of apheresis treatments and assist with hemodialysis coverage as needed.
  • Maintain proficiency in all modalities, including TPE, RBC exchange, and therapeutic phlebotomy.
  • Report any unusual incidents or concerns to the Director of Apheresis or appropriate supervisors.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, hospital staff, and fellow team members to ensure seamless collaboration and support.
  • Participate in on-call duties, ensuring availability for lifesaving patient care as needed.
  • Educate patients about their condition and treatment and obtain informed consent.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current state licensure.
  • A minimum of 6 months of nephrology experience is required; one year is preferred.
  • Certification as a Nephrology Nurse or Dialysis Nurse is desired.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills, especially with critically ill patients.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification from an accredited provider.
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with emergency operational procedures and adherence to safety protocols.
