**Job Description:**
Mechanical, Electrical Plumbing (MEP) Field Engineer

for to support our LAX team.
Responsibilities:
Serves as Owners Representative in the field and acts as liaison to Developer on the APMs mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems specifically for APM rail and stations.

Assigned to the APM to support the Construction Manager and the construction management team.
* Reviews Developers resources (manpower, materials, and equipment), schedule progress, and reports.
* Monitors Developers compliance with design and construction requirements.
* Issues nonconformance notices if required and monitors construction progress resolving all non-conformance notices.
* Reviews Developers construction work plans, RFIs, submittals, force account work tickets/extra work bills and change order requests.
* Works proactively to anticipate and resolve issues such as changes in scope and slippage of schedules. Ensures that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project. Makes recommendations to upper management as appropriate, for the resolution of major problems.
* Ensures Developers effective implementation of all policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
* Ensures the use of sound construction practices to maintain jobsite safety and quality control.
* Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for APM and LAMP management personnel.
Qualifications:
* 5 to 7+ years of engineering and field experience supporting projects of similar size/scope/complexity with rail and stations experience preferred.
* Experience should predominately be on mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems in a planning/field supervision role.
* B.S. in mechanical, civil or electrical engineering, or B.A./B.S construction management.
* Demonstrated ability to understand complicated MEP systems and complicated construction and the ability to communicate progress to both technical and management level personnel.
* Capability to assume additional responsibilities.
* Effective oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex issues to a non-technical audience.
