Apparatus Finish Department Manager

SVI Trucks builds custom fire apparatus, including rescue trucks, hazmat units, command vehicles, fire engines, tanker trucks, law enforcement vehicles and more. Every truck that leaves the factory is truly one-of-kind specified by the customer and built with pride.

We are looking for an energetic and motivated manager who likes to work alongside their crew members to build quality fire apparatus and other emergency vehicles, that help save lives every day.

Essential Functions:

· Operate hand tools, power tools and basic knowledge of using a measuring tape.

· Able to lead many different personalities.

· Plan, coordinate, and deliver training for team members.

· Operational oversight, able to read specifications, blueprints, BOM’s and SOP’s and ensure their leads and teams operate at an efficient capacity.

· Make sure their team members are complying with safety and professional conduct.

· Manages scheduling, documentation, reporting and allocations of resources.

· Understanding of heavy truck and/or automobile assembly, construction, and/or manufacturing processes and job duties.

· Other duties as assigned.

· Strong background in management of crews up to twelve people.

· 5 years of experience in management or crew lead.

· Valid CDL is a plus.

· Able to contribute in a fast paced/team atmosphere.

· Pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical agility test, and criminal background check.

· Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.

· Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time, ability to bend & twist

· Must be able to climb ladders.

· At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

· Must be able to follow directions and pay attention to detail.

Compensation: $32.00 - $37.00/hour DOE

Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday
