Description

Work Location: Remote 

Work Schedule: TBD  Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (ET)

Work Status: Full-Time (Non-Exempt) 

Hourly Rate: $17.04/hr

Overview

We are looking for smart, curious, and passionate customer care professionals to join our culturally diverse team and contribute to our shared success as an Applicant Navigator!

The Customer Care department provides courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable service in response to applicant and customer inquiries through various forms of communication, including telephone, email, and letter. 


Requirements

Essential Functions:

Applicant Navigators must be fluent in spoken and written English and French and able to handle multiple tasks as assigned, providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment. Their mission is to promote a high degree of customer satisfaction and problem resolution in all applicant interactions.

They answer applicant telephone and written inquiries dealing with basic services provided by TruMerit, and research and resolve others received by telephone, fax, email, or letter. Under a supervisor’s direction, written communications will be used to create a database of standardized responses.

ANs process verification and transcript requests, applicant information changes, and other TruMerit service requests. Further, they perform daily quality assurance reviews and day-end sorting of computer-generated correspondence and data entry and facilitate creation and retrieval of applicant files and related materials and carry out any other duties applicable to the position.

Requirements

Qualifications:

While a high school diploma and demonstrated relevant work history are sufficient, an associate degree is preferred, along with two years’ experience as a customer service representative in a high-volume call center. Excellent communication skills in French and English are an imperative, as are significant computer experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word.
