Application Engineer

The Applications Engineer will provide technical support to the pre-sales activities for the company’s key customers worldwide.  

Serve as the contact point between BD/R&D/Costing/Operations/QA and actively support the BD pipeline activity. 

Handles complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires high level evaluation of intangible variance factors. 

Learn, explore and build a knowledge base of customer applications and market requirement in the target segments.

• Support the pre-sale process, serve as a technology expert to both prospective customers and existing pre-sale activities 
• Provide solution for complex requirements, by deep understanding of the products and thinking outside the box 
• To be the interface between the BD, R&D and Marketing, work closely with the R&D, Process engineering, Sales team and customer service groups 
• Leading complex cross-organizational projects, monitor the progress and provide updates on consistent basis 

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in:

• Post sales technical support  
• Application Engineering 
• Customer support 

Working knowledge of technical support, manufacturing methods & procedures, production planning, product cost structure. 

Ability to operate autonomously with minimal supervision 

Knowledge and hands-on experience working with MS Office and a well-known ERP system (eg. SAP, MFG PRO, Oracle).
