Job Description - Application Engineer I - DAD

Job Summary:

The Application Engineer will work on the DAD engineering team to perform: Automation controller (relay) programming design and configuration, Customer support, Electric Smart Grid Automation system configuration/installation/support, production support, engineering support to the team, and training. Training will be provided to selected candidate on how to perform these duties.

Essential Responsibilities:

Relay configuration and logic programming
Maintain, enhance, and support the production test platform
Electric Smart Grid Automation system configuration, installation, and support
Support the production floor on troubleshooting and resolving issues encountered
Customer support
Training; both internal employees and customers
Provide engineering support for all members of the division.
Some travel required is not expected to exceed 15%

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: BS in Electric Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
Experience: 0-5 years of experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
Ability to troubleshoot effectively
Comfortable with speaking in front of and training groups of people
Ability to travel within the US

Preferred Qualifications:

Power Systems focus
Knowledge of SCADA
Knowledge of Reclosers
Outgoing personality to serve on the front line of customer experience
Previous knowledge of distribution power grid
Previous knowledge of SEL relays
