Application Engineer Machining Processes

We're seeking a skilled and driven Application Engineer,  Machining Processes, to support our manufacturing clients in optimizing their operations and tooling performance. If you have a passion for problem-solving, experience in CNC machining and cutting tools, and enjoy working hands-on with manufacturers, this opportunity is for you.

Responsibilities:

• Recommend cutting tools based on machining parameters and applications
• Diagnose and resolve tool life and performance issues on-site
• Analyze tool usage data and suggest improvements in tool design or process
• Collaborate with manufacturers to improve machine uptime and productivity
• Support tooling, process, and manufacturing engineering teams
• Attend production and tooling meetings to stay aligned with customer needs
• Provide vendor updates and manage supplier tasks
• Deliver improvements in tool life, quality, and overall process efficiency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or strong knowledge in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in:
• CNC machining and metal cutting tools (indexable, solid carbide, etc.)
• Tool life optimization, work-holding, and process improvement
• Lean manufacturing practices
• Strong understanding of:
• Materials, surface finishes, and treatments
• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
