Application Engineer (MPD)

Job Summary:  Under the direction of the MPD Director of Engineering, this position has responsibility for product and concept application support from Engineering to Sales and Marketing.   

Job Duties:    Job duties include the following:

• Able to interface and communicate between Engineering and Sales.


• Articulate technology application and product use to Sales team and sometimes customers (as needed/determined by Sales).


• Identify customer's needs from Sale’s inputs and facilitate Engineering support to Sales/Customer.


• Support Engineering’s design and development of new products through the gathering and organizing of documentation and communications.


• Support Sales to resolve customer issues or difficulties.

·       Other duties as assigned, to include Engineering workload (i.e. clerical, analytical, and or manufacturing).

Skills/Experience:  Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, very good Customer Service and/or Sales Support. Proficient in MS Office.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  EE degree preferred.

Physical demands:   Able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.  Able to perform repetitive work, and have the ability to use a microscope and be able to hold small hand tools.  Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
