Job Summary

As the Application Support Specialist in the Nutrition Program Services division, you will administer the program application process for the School Nutrition Programs and the Community Nutrition Programs in accordance with policies set forth by MDE, the USDA and Federal and State laws. Duties will include:
Analyze and ensure new and renewing site and sponsor applications are complete and meet the federal regulatory requirements of eligibility;
Advise sponsors using a comprehensive understanding of procedural and technical aspects of all MDE child nutrition programs;
Execute verification of services for claim submissions and adjustments to ensure accuracy for late claims or administrative review adjustments;
Assist with the review, revision and development of the application processes for nutrition programs;
Coordinating the use of the CLiCS database to collect data, provide reports and offer technical assistance for program applicants and sponsors.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of experience with data analysis work experience in nutrition, health, foodservice, USDA or FDA Nutrition Programs
OR
A bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience with data analysis work experience in nutrition, health, foodservice, USDA or FDA Nutrition Programs
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with USDA Nutrition Program regulations
Experience working with nutrition feeding programs
Ability to read, write and speak effectively within the East African Community
Experience working with East African Communities
Additional Requirements
