About You

Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the IT Applications Analyst II position .

The primary function of this position is to administer and troubleshoot specific enterprise applications and their respective data, workflows and systems, as well as advise management regarding risks to the Town. This position manages vendor and stakeholder relationships and requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Duties include developing and assisting with end-user workflows and customizing/configuring software applications to meet customer needs. Customer needs may consist of developing back-end database and application procedures compatible with current systems. This position researches and identifies new ways of doing business, including thorough testing and documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Establish, administer, and manage data and processes related to specific applications including workflow, configuration, troubleshooting, user maintenance;

Serve as project manager for application upgrade and implementation process;

Provide Tier I and II support across specific Enterprise applications;

Analyze business processes, including exploration, definition, and solution identification;

Read, understand, and interpret best practices and regulatory requirements as needed;

Lead and/or participate in training of staff (both municipal and IT) on use of application and new features;

Conduct system updates, backup, and disaster recovery, and maintain update processes;

Work to create reports for managing work and data using reporting tools;

Anticipate needs and research/offer solutions;

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Special Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or related field OR a combination of appropriate certifications and / or years of experience;

5 years of Information Technology industry experience;

3 years business process analysis and small to medium project management;

3 years of application administration and configuration;

Will be required to pass a Police Background

LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:

Valid AZ Driver’s License.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

KNOWLEDGE OF:

Information technology terminology, practices, and procedures;

Regulatory requirements and data to sufficiently pass annual audit (PCI, PII, HIPAA, CJIS, etc.);

Basic network administration principles and practices.

SKILL IN:

Exceptional communication;

Facilitation of meeting to cover workflow process, project(s) status, and sharing information;

Interpreting business processes and requirements to align with technology;

Leadership via influence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. This position may require stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt – ineligible for overtime.
