Location: Chantilly, VA Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site Salary Range: $180,000 – $210,000
We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Developer to support mission-critical application development for a sold-and-funded federal program under STAR 2306. This role will contribute to the continued development and enhancement of an application currently in production, working in a collaborative team environment across multiple branches and directorates.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced front-end web development expertise combined with full stack development experience, enabling them to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications. This position requires strong proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, Python-based back-end development, complex REST API integration, and cloud-based deployment in AWS environments.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance mission-critical web applications using modern front-end and full stack development practices.
Implement and maintain advanced front-end interfaces using JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, Nuxt.js, and Viz.js to support data visualization and user interaction.
Develop and integrate back-end services using Python and PySpark, supporting data processing and application logic.
Consume and integrate complex REST APIs, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable communication between services.
Design, query, and optimize data storage solutions across relational, graph, and NoSQL databases, including Neo4j, Graph-Tool, and MongoDB.
Support cloud-based application deployment and operations using AWS services, including S3 and EC2.
Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications in Linux-based environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, implement enhancements, and support mission-driven outcomes.
Contribute to system documentation, including application architecture, API usage, deployment procedures, and operational guidance.
Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and iterative delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with intermediate to advanced full stack application development.
Strong experience consuming and integrating complex REST APIs.
Proficiency with tools, languages, and frameworks including:
Python, PySpark
JavaScript, Vue.js, Nuxt.js, Viz.js
Experience with AWS cloud services, specifically S3 and EC2.
Hands-on experience with databases including:
Relational databases
Graph databases (Neo4j, Graph-Tool)
NoSQL/document databases (MongoDB)
Experience deploying and operating applications using Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) required at the time of application.
Must be able to commute daily to the Chantilly, VA worksite and work full-time on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with computer vision algorithms and techniques.
Familiarity with front-end component frameworks such as Vuetify or SyncFusion.js.
Experience with additional AWS services such as EMR or EKS.
Exposure to vector databases, such as Milvus.
Eligibility
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance is required for this role.
Salary
Salary for this position is determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific budget considerations.
Proposed Salary Range: $180,000 – $210,000
