Are you looking to work for a company that provides an innovative work environment, and your voice is heard? We have a need for an Applications Engineer that will be doing the design, writing and commissioning of PLC logic and DAC system application software. You will also be responsible for Commission test systems both PLC based and Morphee along with integrate subsystems to meet complex testing requirements. Troubleshoot complex problems and develop solutions with appropriate input. Must be able to take charge of projects and drive to completion while working with the project team. Ownership of large complex test systems. This role will be based out of Auburn Hills but will require travel to customer sites for the commissioning of the software.

Responsibilities: - Act as liaison and company representative with customers
- Commission test cells including:
- setup and troubleshoot test and measurement systems
- implement and tune complex control loops
- integrate auxiliary equipment into test system
- setup monitoring and control of relevant safeties
- create commissioning documentation
- obtain customer sign-off
- provide training on system applications
- Write and implement advanced custom tests
- Mentor less experienced engineers
- Provide sales technical support
- Provide project engineering technical support
- Help desk consultation
- Develop and present training
Requirements: - Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical processes
- Able to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings
- Understanding of IC Engines and/or Electrification Systems
- Understanding of instrumentation and electrical practices
- Thorough knowledge of PC operation, structure, MS Windows, and computer networking required
Preferred Qualifications: - Data Acquisition and Control system commissioning
- Strong troubleshooting experience in electronics, mechanical and software
- Ability to work independently and drive project progress
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
