Summary of Responsibility:

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Okuma Specialist Applications Engineer
to join our team. In this role, you will apply your expertise in Okuma 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling machines, CNC lathes, and mill-turn equipment to develop processes, support installations, and deliver exceptional training and demonstrations for our customers. You will serve as a key technical resource—bridging the gap between our machines, our sales team, and our customers’ production goals.

What You Will Contribute:

• Collaborate with customers to evaluate machining needs and develop turnkey solutions


• Program and set up CNC lathers, vertical/horizontal mills and mill-turns


• Conduct on-site and in-house training
  for operators, programmers, and maintenance personnel


• Support Pre-sale activities, including machine assessments and part processing strategies


• Maintain technical documentation, including process sheets, setup instructions, and project reports


• Ability to adapt and continuously learn new machine types and technologies to meet evolving customer and industry needs.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Minimum 4 years’ CNC machining experience


• Strong background in programming and Setup of Okuma and Fanuc controls preferred but not required


• Proficiency of CAD/CAM software


• MasterCam, Esprit, Gibbs CAM, and Solidworks experience is a plus


• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills


• Willingness to travel for customer visits, training, or other projects, approximately 25% of that travel may include overnights.
