Summary of Responsibility:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Applications Engineer specializing in Tsugami Swiss-type CNC lathes to join our team. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting advanced machine processes, as well as training and advising customers on best practices to optimize productivity and part quality. You will be the go-to technical expert for Tsugami equipment, leveraging your deep knowledge of Swiss turning to drive customer success from project inception to production

What You Will Contribute:

• Collaborate with customers to evaluate machining needs and develop turnkey Swiss machine solutions


• Program and set up Tsugami Swiss-style CNC lathes for complex, high-precision components


• Conduct on-site and in-house training
  for operators, programmers, and maintenance personnel for safe, efficient machine operation


• Support Pre-sale activities, including machine assessments and part processing strategies


• Maintain technical documentation, including process sheets, setup instructions, and project reports


• Ability to adapt and continuously learn new machine types and technologies to meet evolving customer and industry needs.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• At least 2 years hands-on experience with Swiss-style CNC machines. Tsugami, Citizen or Star experience a plus

• Strong background in programming and setup- Fanuc controls preferred but not required


• Proficiency of CAD/CAM software


• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills


• Willingness to travel throughout the regional territory for customer visits, training, or other projects
