Job Description - Applications Scientist - Technology Access Program

 


 


 


 


 

Position Description:


We seek a highly motivated Applications Scientist to join a dynamic team of professionals in the Technology Access team to support our company mission. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally across multiple teams including R&D, Sales and Marketing to develop novel applications of Alamar’s NULISA technology. This role requires a background in immunology, neuroscience, cancer research or proteomics and great interpersonal communication and technical writing skills. Experience with bioinformatics for multiplex datasets and sequencing workflows is an added advantage.


As a member of our group, you will work closely with key opinion leaders on collaborations to highlight the NULISA technology in diverse research areas and prepare and summarize manuscripts and other collateral. The role may also require travel to select national and international conferences.


 Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Develop new applications for Alamar’s NULISA technology

  • Manage research projects in conjunction with internal teams and customers

  • Design, conduct and analyze singleplex and multiplex immunoassays

  • Cultivate collaborations with customers and manage communication

  • Review and summarize scientific literature and generate customer-facing collateral

  • Present data to internal and external stakeholders

  • Prepare abstracts and posters for conferences

  • Assist in manuscript reviews and writing


Skills & Requirements



  • Masters or PhD in Oncology, Neuroscience or Immunology with 1-3 years of industry experience

  • Experience with immunoassays and sequencing data

  • Strong understanding of proteomics and biomarker research (preferred)

  • Ability to work independently and across multiple scientific disciplines and cross functional teams

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail

  • Strong writing background and ability to disseminate and summarize complex scientific literature

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment


 


The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $145,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
