Support Representative - Healthcare

Job
Summary:
This position is responsible for handling
diverse client questions on data entry and management, product customization,
report execution, ad hoc report creation and analysis of report output. Representatives use company products and/or
internal tools for troubleshooting, data analysis and other related
functions. Representatives must have the
ability to problem solve independently.
Calls and correspondence are documented in detail.
All activities must be in compliance with Equal
Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA and other regulations, as
appropriate.
Essential Functions: Applications Support
Representative – Level I is responsible for:
I. Customer Support
•
Responds to telephone calls / email requests from both internal and
external sources for applications related support.
•
Responds to and resolves clients’ requests for product customization.
•
Responds to and resolves clients’ GUI and system navigation questions.
•
Works with clients to promote data management best practices.
•
Assists clients with data analysis referring more complex questions to
Level II Applications Support Representatives.
II. Communication
•
Communicates clearly and effectively with the client and provides the
foundation for an ongoing and productive client relationship.
•
Communicates effectively with immediate manager, other company leaders
and all team members.
•
Participates in all team meetings and activities.
III. Documentation
• Documents and tracks all client support
calls using SalesForce case tracking system.
•
Produces enhancement cases and analyzes those cases to make
recommendations to Product Management team.
• Submits
new and/or updated content to the internal applications support knowledge base.
•
Maintains HIPAA privacy and security standards as defined by the
company.
Minimum
Requirements: Applications Support Representative – Level I
must have:
• Knowledge of hospital information systems
(i.e. ADT, Lab, Billing, etc.)
•
Experience with coding classifications systems (ICD, CPT, NUBC, etc.)
•
Knowledge and experience using web-based applications.
•
Good organizational skills, detail oriented, and has an interest in
providing quality customer service.
Preferred
Qualifications:
•
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related discipline, or equivalent
experience. Nursing degree a plus.
•
Prior contact/call center experience answering phones is desirable
•
Prior performance improvement/quality management/risk management work
experience within a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
•
Knowledge of pharmacy data, hospital quality initiatives and JCAHO accreditation
process is desirable
