Appraisal Review Specialist I

Position Summary:

This position orders and reviews residential and commercial appraisals for the bank. Other duties include the preparation of in-house evaluations and validations, as directed by the supervisor, to support the lending function of the bank.

Major Duties & Accountabilities:

• Take part in and embrace the Legacy Culture by giving outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Plays significant role in the appraisal process by:
• Receive appraisal/evaluation request from lender and decision whether an appraisal must be ordered or if an evaluation can be prepared. Organizes workload and priority of orders and establishes a method to follow up on delivery of ordered reports.
• Use appropriate checklists to review residential and commercial appraisals to ensure proper compliance with USPAP and regulatory guidance. 
• Prepare evaluations, when appropriate to do so, by using processes and tools provided while following established and existing standards that are acceptable by policy.
• Prepare validations, when appropriate to do so, using processes and tools provided while following established and existing standards that are acceptable by policy.

Requirements

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 21 years of age

Preferred:

• 1 year of real estate, appraisal, credit analyst, or lending experience (2 years’ experience is preferable)
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
