Apprentice Appliance Installer

Seeking a responsible hardworking person to join our small but growing company.  Looking for someone who wants to learn a needed/wanted trade for a long term career. 

Our company installs built in appliances (dishwashers/over the range microwaves/hoods/etc) in the Columbus Market and surrounding areas for Lowes and other retailers.  Install market covers up to 50 mile radius in and around 270 outerbelt. 

Training would entail riding with a senior installer for a minimum of 12 weeks to learn techniques, rules, and guidelines for installing appliances and customer interaction. After 12 weeks would be assessed to determine if additional training is required.   Hours are Monday through Friday.  Minimum of 35 hours a week, max 45 (varies depending on which store/stores product needs to be picked up from).  Typical hours would be 7:30/8 start and 3:30/4 end approximately.   Pay during training is $19 an hour, paid out weekly.  $30 gas weekly gas allowance during training. Bonus of $1500 at the completion of 12 weeks (paid even if more training required).

Once training is complete you will become a full installer.  At that point, you would be provided a company vehicle and be fully responsible for assigned installations.   Full installers start at $31 per completed install.  Quarterly performance bonuses based off completed installs.  Full installers are provided a company van to use for installs. 

All tools provided. 

Major holidays paid day off (New years, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas) as long as you work the week of the holiday starting from Hire date.  After 1 year will pay out 10 days vacation time. 

Job is physical.  Will require lifting appliances in and out of delivery vehicles and transporting in/out of customer's homes.  Job also requires you to be in a vehicle riding/driving a large part of the day.
