Apprentice-Skilled Technician

Woody Buick GMC is seeking Apprentice and Skilled Technicians.  We are seeking for individuals eager to begin a career as an automotive technician for full time in a  Local Shop. Join a growing team in a high traffic shop.  Extensive training is available to those who are career focused in addition to Healthcare, Pension and 401k. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough multipoint inspections


• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency in accordance with dealership and/or General Motors standards


• Preform lube, oil and filter changes, tire rotations and fluid top-off


• Tire rotations as well as repairing, mounting and balancing 


• Explain recommendations in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers


• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in training sessions in order to advance career and stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.


• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

Job Requirements:  

• General knowledge of automobiles


• Hold a valid driver’s license


• Basic computer skills


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


• Experience with automatic


• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications are not required but recommended.


• Maintain current factory training


• Hold a valid driver’s license


• Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service


• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
