Responsibilities:
As the AR Billing & Collections Lead/Manager, you will oversee and drive all aspects of the billing and collections process for our ABA and PT services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. You will:
Manage day-to-day operations of the AR team, setting priorities and supporting team productivity.
Lead claim submission, follow-up, appeals, and payment posting workflows.
Review denied or rejected claims and direct resolution strategies.
Train, mentor, and coach billing staff to meet individual and team goals.
Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and finance teams to troubleshoot issues.
Monitor aging reports and implement strategies to reduce AR days and improve collections.
Ensure compliance with payer requirements, HIPAA, and healthcare regulations.
Track KPIs and provide revenue cycle performance insights to leadership.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 4 years of recent AR medical billing and collections experience, including at least 2 years in ABA billing (required).
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Raintree EMR system (strongly preferred).
Leadership: Prior experience managing or mentoring a billing team.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead with a people-first approach.
Attention to Detail: Sharp problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and compliance.
