Arbua ClearPass Engineer - Opportunity to Make a Difference

Arganteal seeks an experienced Aruba ClearPass engineer for a remote work from home deployment contract starting April 8, 2024 running through the end of May 2024.  We are a leading IT services provider specializing in advanced network solutions and security services for businesses across various industries. As we expand our security solutions portfolio, we're looking for an experienced Aruba ClearPass Specialist to join our remote team on a contract consultant basis.
 

Contract Details:

• Location: Remote work from home
• Start Date: April 8, 2024 
• End Date:  May 31, 2024
• Contract Length: 210 Hours
• Hours: Full-time tapering to part time flexible hours

Hours Weekly Breakdown:

40 hours week of April 8th
40 hours week of April 15th
40 hours week of April 22nd 
40 hours week of April 29th
30 hours week of May 6th
10 hours week of May 13th
10 hours week of May 20th

Position Overview:

The Aruba ClearPass Specialist will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing Aruba ClearPass solutions for our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of network access control, security policy management, and guest access services. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, have excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work in a remote environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Lead Architect to deploy / implement their Low Level Design
• Configure up to two (2) ClearPass servers as Publisher nodes
• Verify node and configure node as applicable
• Verify node and install appropriate licenses (if applicable) 
• Verify apply Discover -provided CA signed certificates if required by design
• Verify configured DNS and NTP settings
• Verify and update software on the ClearPass appliance, including third-party updates
• Verify configured Primary and Standby Publisher (management system) failover configurations
• Configure up to four (4) ClearPass servers as Subscriber nodes
• Verify ClearPass software on Subscriber and license them accordingly
• Verify software update on the Subscriber
• Verify apply Discover -provided CA signed certificates if required by design
• Verify Node is joined to active directory (“AD”) ▪ Verify configured Subscriber failover configurations
• Verify configured DNS and NTP settings ▪ Verify Subscriber is registered to the Publisher appliances
• Verify configured syslog monitoring for the ClearPass solution
• Complete As-Built Documentation
• Customer Training − Up to one (1) day of Knowledge transfer per domain for ten (10) people per session. Each domain will encompass one (1) technology review session and one (1) trouble shooting session

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security, specifically with Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, 802.1X, RADIUS, LDAP) and network infrastructure.
• Experience with configuring and troubleshooting wired and wireless networks.
• Certifications in Aruba ClearPass (e.g., ACCA, ACCP) are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a remote work environment.
