Corgan is actively recruiting an experienced, registered architect to join our growing Aviation practice in our Houston office location. The firm is currently working on innovative and challenging projects throughout the U.S. and is pursuing new opportunities overseas. Responsibilities:
At Corgan we offer opportunities for both personal and professional growth through a wide range of project responsibilities and leadership roles. Tackle these responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate on a variety of projects in scale and scope. Our ideal designer is passionate and progressively seeking more responsibilities to expand their expertise. Some of these responsibilities include :

Assist in all phases of the design process on a variety of projects in size and scope
Generate creative design solutions within the functional parameters of a project
Foster a productive partnership with the client and project delivery team through regular communication and collaboration
Utilize appropriate software at a proficient level to create graphics and presentation materials
Support the integration of the design process with other workflows and project tasks
Collaborate with project teams serving as concept champions throughout the project
Execute coordination and integration of construction and consultant documents
Apply knowledge of construction methods and timelines
Conduct field verification and site visits as needed
Maintain awareness of, and appropriately apply, new methodologies, practices, codes, and products
Actively contribute to the production of major components of a thorough set of construction documents
Assist with contract administration responsibilities
Translating concepts and information into images
Participating in the process of exploring and completing usable detailing solutions

Qualifications:
Qualified designers already exhibit these strengths and talents:
Degree from a NAAB accredited architecture program or equivalent
4+ years of experience in commercial design; Aviation experience strongly preferred
The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented, highly-motivated individual seeking progressively more responsible assignments on a variety of projects
Display strong design portfolio showing strengths in conceptual design, space planning skills, and detailing
Revit proficiency and technical excellence; experience with other 3D software preferred.
Interest in sustainable design
Professional registration or anticipation of registration
Strong organizational and communication skills
Attention to detail
Flexible attitude
Ability to collaborate in a diverse project team environment
Confident presentation ability
Candidates should be familiar with coordinating project deliverables and clients
Experience preparing all stages of design documentation, performing construction administration, and consultant coordination are required
Willingness to travel is strongly preferred
