Role description:

Arcadis seeks an architectural designer to join the Educational Practice team, located in Houston, Texas. This position collaborates with a diverse and creative team, dedicated to excellence in design and innovative problem solving. 

 This role sits within the Places: Architecture and Urbanism (A&U) group. In Places we work with our clients around the world to create, support, and enhance smart, safe and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive. Places impact on the quality of people’s lives. Whether new homes, shops, workplaces, schools and hospitals, manufacturing, research and development facilities, or data and distribution centers. People and communities thrive when the spaces in which they live, work, move and play are designed and managed in a way that best meets their needs.

Role accountabilities:

As a reliable team player, they excel at building strong relationships, contributing ideas, and working effectively with others to achieve shared goals.

• Assists in preparing SD, DD, and CD documents.


• Participate in design reviews and make corrections to drawings as requested by Project Managers


• Participates in job site visits and field observations.


• Attend project meetings with team members as needed.


• Coordinate with Consultants and project teams.


• Prioritizes tasks with the assistance of Project Managers and team members.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in architecture or related design field.


• Knowledge of REVIT

These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement.  We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $49,390 - $79,023. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
