Architectural Draftsperson - Lexington

Stengel Hill (SH) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsperson to join our team in our Louisville, KY office. The Draftsperson will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for architectural projects. This position requires a solid understanding of technical design, drafting tools, and the ability to interpret specifications from architects, engineers and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high quality architectural drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit)


• Review designs for compliance with standards and specifications.


• Collaborate with architects and project managers to understand project scope and objectives.


• Modify and update designs based on feedback and project needs.


• Ensure all drawings adhere to firm and industry standards.


• Maintain organized files and records of all drafts and revisions.


• Assist in the preparation of project documentation and specifications.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, or related field.


• 1-2 years of experience in drafting or a related field.


• Proficiency in CAD software: AutoCAD and Revit required


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)


• Strong attention to detail and precision in drafting.


• Ability to interpret technical data, drawings, and blueprints.


• Good communication skills to collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals.


• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.


• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the architecture industry (healthcare design preferred, but not required)


• Familiarity with project management software or systems.
