Architectural Engineer

• The architect must be able to work as part of a multi-discipline team and may sometimes lead layout and design flow efforts.
• Responsibilities may also include preparing labor estimates, bills of materials, and contributing to project planning activities.
• The architect will report to a mission manager responsible for multiple projects. Therefore, workload will vary, and the architect may be assigned to several projects simultaneously.
• The architect must be capable of meeting project schedule milestones and budget requirements while delivering high-quality documents.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Professional licensure in Tennessee is preferred
• Experience must include A/E project work with a focus on industrial design and building maintenance

• Conducting field work and taking measurements
• Creating floor plans and equipment layouts
• Performing code checks for egress and other regulatory issues
• Producing their own CAD drawings
• Specifying paint, finishes, and materials
• Detailing windows, flashing, roofing, doors, hardware, and security features
• Designing building cladding systems
• Coordinating with other disciplines on project teams
