Gasser Bush Associates is a leading supplier of high-quality lighting and controls products. We are developing a new market segment including architectural materials, specializing in metal and wood ceiling systems, acoustic products, handrails, mirrors, and exterior furniture. We work closely with architects, designers, and contractors to provide innovative solutions for commercial, institutional, and residential projects.


 


Job Summary:


We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to expand our market presence and build strong relationships with clients in the architecture, design, and construction industries. The ideal candidate will have a background in building materials sales, strong networking skills, and a passion for design-driven solutions.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with architects, designers, contractors, and developers.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.

  • Provide technical product knowledge and consultative sales support to customers.

  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations for clients and design firms.

  • Collaborate with the internal team to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and competitor activities.

  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to represent the company.

  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to management.

  • Ability to travel locally 3-5 days per week


Qualifications & Skills:



  • Experience: 5+ years of sales experience in architectural materials, building products, or related industries.



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field preferred.

  • The ideal candidate for this position will reside in Southeast Michigan

  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of ceiling systems, acoustic solutions, and exterior/interior architectural products is a plus.

  • Networking Ability: Established connections with architects, designers, and contractors preferred.

  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand product specifications and communicate benefits effectively. Work on multiple projects and at time and meet project deadlines.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client presentations and negotiations. Strong

  • Software Experience: Microsoft Office Suite

  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and interact effectively with others, manage time and meet sales targets.
