As the Area Business Transient Sales Manager, you will drive business transient, corporate, negotiated-rate, and extended-stay revenue across a portfolio of three hotels: Hilton Pennywell, Homewood Suites Galleria, and TownePlace Suites Brentwood. You’ll build relationships with local and regional businesses, proactively identify new opportunities, and strategically match clients with the hotel that best fits their travel needs.
This role reports to the Director of Sales / Area Director of Sales and works closely with hotel leadership, Revenue Management, Sales, Operations, and HVMG’s commercial team.
What You’ll Be Doing
As the Area Business Transient Sales Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will include proactively prospecting for new corporate and extended-stay accounts, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and growing production from existing negotiated accounts.
You’ll solicit and manage Local Negotiated Rate (LNR), dynamic corporate rate, volume, and preferred-hotel agreements while representing both Hilton and Marriott brands. You’ll also conduct outside sales calls, client visits, hotel tours, and property presentations to build awareness and generate new business.
A big part of this role will be identifying extended-stay and relocation opportunities, including project, crew, training, consulting, healthcare, and corporate relocation business. You’ll build relationships with relocation companies, corporate housing providers, staffing agencies, project managers, and HR/mobility contacts while partnering with Revenue Management to develop competitive rates.
Because you’ll represent three different hotels across two brands, you’ll become an expert at understanding each property’s strengths and matching the right hotel to each client based on trip purpose, length of stay, rate, amenities, room type, and availability. You’ll also identify opportunities to cross-sell between the properties and maximize overall portfolio revenue.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves the “hunter” side of sales but also enjoys building long-term client relationships. You’ll have the opportunity to develop experience across multiple brands, property types, and business segments while building a strong foundation for continued growth within hotel sales.
Education & Experience
Hotel experience is always a plus! Applicants should have:
Previous experience with Hilton and/or Marriott, Local Negotiated Rate accounts, extended-stay sales, hotel sales systems, or multi-property sales is preferred. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is also preferred.
