Job Description - Area Director of Business Development

Lightyear Health is looking for an experienced traveling Area Director of Business Development to convert leads into clients by building, refining, and executing high-touch sales processes to grow and expand our business. We are looking for someone who can use their current connections to build relationships with SNF and groups in core markets. This person will have a significant impact on expanding the customer base, achieving sales targets, and fostering long-term customer relationships.

We are a technology-enabled clinical services organization building a network of skilled nursing facilities to provide Physiatry services to our patients. Our team collaborates with individuals, families, and caregivers to design personalized care plans that address the holistic needs of each patient.

Key Outcomes:

Travel & Pipeline Management: Travel to meet facility leaders while effectively managing the sales pipeline, including lead qualification, opportunity tracking, accurate forecasting, and timely follow-up to ensure a steady flow of opportunities and maximize conversion rates.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers, acting as a point of contact for inquiries and service information.
Productivity Focused: Hit the ground running by closing deals in the first two months of employment.
Collaboration and Feedback: Collaborate closely with internal teams, such as clinical and customer success, providing valuable customer feedback, insights, and market intelligence to enhance service offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
Sales Revenue Generation: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets by actively prospecting, identifying customer needs, presenting solutions, and closing deals.

The most important skills for the role are*:

Proven track record of managing enterprise sales from prospect outreach to closed deals. Experience with lead generation a plus
Ability to demonstrate a keen understanding of SNF industry trends, knowledge of broader healthcare trends, and continuity of care principles
Mastery in utilizing current connections and influence to help build sales pipeline
Prior field sales experience in the healthcare industry
Strategically tailor discovery & closing strategies based on prospect's needs and challenges
An empathic ability to connect with prospects and the ability to approach sales pitches through the eyes of the prospect
Knowledge of Physiatry or rehab a plus

Compensation:

We're committed to an inclusive, consistent, and equitable approach to compensation. We expect OTE to be $200k +. This position has a commission component with no ceiling, so earning potential is unlimited.
