Area Maintenance Specialist - Sacramento

The Area Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the consistent execution of preventative maintenance programs, compliance with Mercy Housing Management Group (MHM) guidelines, and the implementation of environmentally responsible practices. The Area Maintenance Specialist also ensures dependable on-call maintenance coverage and effective emergency response when needed.  The ideal candidate will have experience with NSPIRE inspections. 

This is an on-site position that requires travel to different properties throughout the Sacramento area. 

Pay: $29.56-36.95/hour, dependent on experience.

Duties

• Collaborate with Property Manager to ensure proper execution of the approved preventative maintenance schedule established for assigned property(ies).


• Implement and maintains environmentally responsible guidelines, as outlined by ownership.


• Ensure that on-call maintenance and emergency response is executed, as required.


• Collaborate with Property Manager to ensure that maintenance contracts meet or exceed the best possible quality and expense standards.


• Ensure that all Physical Product Practices (P3) of Operational Excellence are followed, monitored, and completed.


• Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Technical training and expertise in one or more building trades.


• Minimum of two (2) years in skilled maintenance work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certifications.

Knowledge and Skills

• Comprehend and communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing.


• Perform basic math and understand measurement systems used in the trade.


• Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints.


• Make working sketches.


• Use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.


• Interpret and understand maintenance information generated from property management software reports.


• Basic computer skills.
