KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Dedham Showroom Ownership

  • Serve as the showroom leader for Dedham with full accountability for sales, profitability, staffing, scheduling, client experience, fit, visual presentation, inventory, and operating standards.

  • Build and execute a weekly business plan that converts appointments and walk-ins, improves conversion, grows complete-look selling, and delivers sales to forecast and prior year.

  • Lead from the floor during peak demand, model the INDOCHINO sales process, and coach the team in the moment on Connect, Curate, and Close, product storytelling, appointment quality, and follow-up.

  • Schedule to business demand, manage labor responsibly, and ensure the showroom has the right leadership and selling coverage when clients are most likely to shop.

  • Maintain a clean pipeline of appointments, client follow-up, held orders, and open opportunities so the team actively creates business instead of waiting for it.

Boston Market Leadership

  • Act as the District Manager's primary point person in the Boston market, providing consistent visibility into performance, staffing, client issues, operating risks, and local opportunities.

  • Maintain a regular presence across assigned Boston showrooms based on business need, balancing market support with uninterrupted leadership of the Dedham team.

  • Partner with showroom leaders to translate company and district priorities into clear local actions, reinforce standards, and follow through on commitments.

  • Coordinate market execution during promotions, events, staffing gaps, leadership absences, operational rollouts, and periods of elevated client demand.

  • Share effective practices across showrooms, identify recurring barriers, and recommend solutions to the District Manager and appropriate support teams.

Sales Leadership & Business Ownership

  • Use sales and traffic data to identify root causes, set priorities, and take timely action across sales, appointments, conversion, AOV, NRP, UPT, walk-ins, and order volume.

  • Hold the Dedham team accountable for consistent execution of sales behaviors, daily goals, client outreach, and performance expectations.

  • Support Boston showroom leaders with practical coaching and action planning when performance, behaviors, or execution fall below standard.

  • Understand the local market, client patterns, competitive activity, and partnership opportunities that can generate traffic and strengthen market awareness.

  • Operate with a business-owner mindset by connecting decisions to revenue, profitability, labor, client impact, and long-term market health.

Client Experience & Service Recovery

  • Ensure every client receives a consistent, confident, and personalized experience before, during, and after the appointment.

  • Monitor client feedback, satisfaction, appointment quality, and service-recovery trends; address breakdowns quickly and coach the behavior behind them.

  • Take ownership of escalated Dedham client concerns and support market escalations when requested, partnering with the District Manager and support teams on fair, timely resolutions.

  • Protect the long-term client relationship while balancing company standards, cost awareness, and sound judgment.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and retain a high-performing Dedham team, filling openings with urgency and maintaining a ready pipeline of talent.

  • Set clear role expectations, provide frequent feedback, recognize strong performance, and address missed standards directly and consistently.

  • Build bench strength by identifying emerging leaders, creating development plans, and providing stretch opportunities across the Boston market.

  • Support showroom leaders with coaching, training reinforcement, and performance conversations while keeping the District Manager informed and aligned.

  • Create a culture of accountability, inclusion, recognition, and teamwork that reflects INDOCHINO's standards and values.

Fit, Quality & Tailoring Accountability

  • Maintain strong knowledge of INDOCHINO's measurement, fit, and garment process and ensure the Dedham team follows current fit standards and validation practices.

  • Review remake, repeat-remake, alteration, and fit trends; identify root causes; and implement documented coaching or corrective actions.

  • Partner with Fit & Quality leadership and local tailoring resources to improve first-time fit, alteration timeliness, client communication, and cost control.

  • Reinforce measurement validations, order reviews, and in-the-moment coaching that reduce preventable remakes and support the company's long-term remake target.

Operational & Financial Discipline

  • Manage Dedham's controllable expenses and labor with discipline, understand key profit drivers, and identify opportunities to improve productivity and profitability.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety practices, opening and closing procedures, cash controls, inventory processes, data privacy, and all operational rollouts.

  • Maintain visual, merchandising, product, promotional, and showroom presentation standards and help reinforce those standards across the Boston market.

  • Complete business reviews, visit recaps, action plans, and required reporting accurately and on time, escalating risks before they become larger problems.

  • Partner effectively with Retail Operations, Retail Strategy, Fit & Quality, People & Culture, Marketing, and other support teams to remove barriers and improve execution.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years of progressive retail leadership experience in a client-driven environment, including direct responsibility for a showroom or store team; multi-unit or market leadership experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to improve sales performance, conversion, client experience, labor productivity, and team execution through hands-on leadership and coaching.

  • Strong commercial judgment and comfort analyzing retail metrics, identifying root causes, and converting insight into clear action.

  • Proven success recruiting, developing, retaining, and holding teams accountable in a fast-moving environment.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to lead peers and partner cross-functionally without relying on title alone.

  • Knowledge of menswear, made-to-measure, fit, tailoring, or fashion apparel is preferred; a commitment to mastering INDOCHINO's fit and product standards is required.

  • Organized, decisive, calm under pressure, and able to balance immediate showroom needs with broader market priorities.

  • Comfort using retail systems, scheduling tools, reporting, and performance data to manage the business.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • This is an in-person retail leadership role based primarily in the Dedham showroom.

  • Regular local travel throughout the Boston market is required, with occasional travel outside the market based on business need.

  • The schedule must flex to support peak client demand, including evenings, weekends, holidays, events, and urgent market needs.

  • The role requires regular presence on the showroom floor and the ability to perform the core duties of a showroom leader.
