Area Operations Coordinator

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

Expected Hours: 30-40 hours per week

We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and hands-on Operations Coordinator to support multiple quick-service restaurant locations throughout the Los Angeles area.

This position will work directly with ownership and play a key role in maintaining operational standards, supporting store managers, assisting with recruiting and training, and helping ensure that each location operates efficiently and consistently.

This is a field-based position and not a desk-only role. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in restaurant environments, interacting with employees and managers, conducting interviews, solving problems, and ensuring company standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular visits to restaurant locations
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, and operational standards are being followed
  • Monitor cleanliness, organization, food safety, and customer service standards
  • Conduct store audits and operational evaluations
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and follow up on corrective actions
  • Review applications and conduct initial interviews
  • Assist with hiring and onboarding new employees
  • Support managers with staffing and employee accountability
  • Follow up on maintenance, repair, and equipment issues
  • Communicate with vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Assist with workers' compensation and employee-related follow-up
  • Track projects, action items, and operational initiatives
  • Provide ownership with regular updates regarding store performance and staffing needs

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of restaurant, retail, hospitality, or related management experience
  • Previous experience supervising employees
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable conducting interviews and onboarding employees
  • Ability to travel between multiple locations throughout Los Angeles
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Proficient with email, spreadsheets, and basic computer software
  • Available to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-unit operations experience
  • Quick-service restaurant experience
  • Experience with recruiting and hiring
  • Experience with scheduling, payroll, or HR-related functions
