Position Summary

The Area Supervisor at Amicus Place leads and supports a team of Direct Support Professionals who provide compassionate, high-quality care to individuals served. This role is responsible for ensuring that clients’ needs are always prioritized while managing staff performance and maintaining compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. The Area Supervisor is responsible for team leadership, performance management, staff development, and fostering a positive and safe environment for both clients and employees. 

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the provision of services to individuals to promote their overall well‑being.
  • Ensure service schedules are developed and implemented in accordance with each individual’s service plan.
  • Monitor staff compliance with policies, health, safety, and behavior support protocols.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed.
  • Monitor labor hours and ensure service operations remain within budgetary guidelines.
  • Oversee client funds, receipts, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Ensure appropriate staff deployment and compliance with staffing ratios.
  • Prepare and post staff schedules in a timely manner and use staffing efficiently.
  • Conduct performance reviews and corrective actions when needed.
  • Assist with reviewing, tracking, and investigating incident or accident reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and applicable regulatory standards through ongoing training and oversight.
  • Attend meetings and communicate regularly with clients’ stakeholders to ensure coordinated, client-centered support.
Qualifications 
  • High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Health Care Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of supervisory or relevant experience (healthcare or services) preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Proof of current car insurance.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Negative TB test.
