Armed Security Officer (Multi-Shift)

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Part-Time Armed Security Officer to provide coverage for government facilities throughout the Eagle, Vail, and Dillon, Colorado region. This flexible position is designed to fill open shifts caused by employee absences, vacation coverage, and staffing adjustments.
This role is ideal for experienced armed security professionals who are comfortable working at multiple locations, adapting to different assignments, and maintaining a professional presence in government environments. Officers must be able to travel within the assigned coverage area and respond to changing scheduling needs.

• Location: Eagle, CO 81631 (serving Eagle, Vail, and Dillon areas)
• Employment Type: Part-Time

• Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
• Schedule: Flexible part-time schedule covering call-offs, vacation relief, and overtime reduction assignments

Primary Responsibilities

Facility Security

• Maintain a professional armed security presence at assigned government facilities.
• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding grounds.
• Monitor activity to help protect employees, visitors, government property, and equipment.
• Observe for suspicious behavior, security concerns, or safety hazards.

Access Control

• Verify authorization for visitors, contractors, and employees entering restricted areas.
• Monitor access points and enforce established security procedures.
• Assist with visitor processing in accordance with post orders.
• Report unauthorized access attempts or security violations promptly.

Incident Response

• Respond appropriately to security incidents, disturbances, alarms, and emergencies.
• Communicate with supervisors and emergency responders when required.
• Follow site-specific emergency procedures and operational protocols.
• Maintain composure while making sound decisions under pressure.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Document unusual events, policy violations, and operational concerns.
• Maintain complete and confidential security records.
• Communicate shift updates to supervisors and relief officers.

Professional Representation

• Provide courteous and respectful service while interacting with government employees and authorized visitors.
• Maintain a professional appearance and always conduct.
• Follow Citadel Security USA policies and client post instructions.
• Adapt quickly to different facilities and assignment requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Possess a personal firearm that meets all applicable legal and company requirements.
• Reliable personal vehicle for travel between assigned locations.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel throughout the Eagle, Vail, and Dillon service area.
• Strong observation, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to accept varying assignments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous armed security experience in government, courthouse, municipal, or other public-sector facilities.
• Experience conducting patrols, access control, and incident documentation.
• Familiarity with professional report writing and security procedures.
• Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to adapt to multiple work sites and changing operational needs.

Training Requirements

• Must be willing to attend a required three-day training program in the Grand Junction area before assignment.
• Lodging for the required training will be provided by Citadel Security USA.

• Government and public-sector facilities.

• Travel between multiple client locations within the coverage area.
