Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Armed Security Officer for a State Site on Martha's Vineyard MA

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8 AM - 6 PM

Starting Pay is $23.79 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training 

Candidate is Required to Have a Concealed Carry Permit and 1+ Years of Previous Related Experience

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in South Yarmouth, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support the public with outstanding customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting information through established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials where required, and support the control of entry and exit for restricted areas in accordance with site rules and governmental requirements.
• Communicate with supervisors, local law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel as needed, and assist with traffic, roadway, and facility-related post duties based on site conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
