The Opportunity:

The Home Edit is seeking a highly motivated Art Director Assistant to work in a hands-on-role to execute day to day photo and content shoots from a set design to propping to full set building. This role involves working closely with photographers, talent, stylists, and other team members to ensure the smooth execution of photo shoots, creative briefs, mood boards, and other creative outputs.

This position is preferred for onsite in Nashville, TN.

What You Will Do:

• Assist the Director of Brand Standards in developing and maintaining The Home Edit's visual brand identity across all platforms, including social media, website, marketing materials, and product packaging.
• Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and execute innovative concepts for photo shoots, videos, and other visual content.
• Support the Director of Brand Standards in managing and directing photo shoots, including selecting props, styling scenes, and providing creative direction to photographers and stylists.
• Assist in creating mood boards, storyboards, and other visual references to communicate concepts and ideas effectively.
• Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and promotional materials by providing creative input and design support.
• Work closely with the graphic design team to ensure consistency in visual messaging and branding across all channels.
• Assist with post-shoot tasks, such as equipment breakdown, packing, and product return.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in art direction, design, and photography, and incorporate new ideas into The Home Edit's creative process.
• Assist with other tasks and projects as needed to support the overall goals of the creative team and the company
• Foster and participate in the overall The Home Edit and Hello Sunshine values and vision.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in set building, art direction, preferably in a production or creative agency or similar environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
• Well-versed in current and emerging social platforms, their products and trends.
• Positive, collaborative team player.
• Bachelor's degree in art, design, photography, or a related field.
