Arts Teacher at Gateway Middle School - 2025-2026

Arts Teacher Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach Visual and/or Performing Arts classes to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students
  


• Plan project-based curriculum and lessons, aligning to standards for Visual and Performing Art
  


• Collaborate with other subject areas on cross-curricular themes and projects
  


• Collaborate with other staff to analyze student learning, differentiate instruction and build a positive school culture
  


• Serve as an advisory teacher for a daily Advisory group
  

Compensation Range:

• Commensurate with experience and FTE level, based on a full-time salary scale, for credentialed teachers, of $85,000 -$110,000

Qualifications:

• Commitment to Gateway's mission is essential, including a desire to work with a diverse student body


• Strong desire to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and students
  


• Current California credential (or eligibility to earn a credential) -- CTE, Multiple Subjects or Single Subject VAPA
