Asbestos Litigation Senior Counsel (Defense)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of asbestos defense litigation, including depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Develop legal strategies and collaborate closely with internal teams and clients
• Argue motions and participate in court proceedings
• Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses
• Draft pleadings, discovery responses, legal memoranda, and motions
• Ensure compliance with court deadlines and internal case milestones
• Advise clients on litigation risks and resolution strategies

Required Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active California Bar license
• Must reside in California (remote work eligible for in-state candidates)
• Minimum 10 years of asbestos litigation experience (defense side only)
• Experience from a top national law firm or elite litigation group
• Strong academic background and stable employment history
• Excellent courtroom, advocacy, and legal writing skills
• No freelance, temporary, or plaintiff-side backgrounds considered

💼 Salary & Benefits

• Base Salary: $200,000 – $220,000 (DOE)
