ASC RN Clinical Coordinator

Anne Arundel Urology is looking for an experienced RN to join our management team as the Clinical Coordinator in our Annapolis Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) . Under the supervision of our ASC Director, the Clinical Coordinator is responsible for managing our Greenbelt ASC and it's staff. The Clinical Coordinator directly supervises staff, ensures high quality health care to our patients and ensures compliance with facility policies and procedures and accreditation regulations. 

General Responsibilities, but not limited to: 

• Provide exceptional patient care – Maintain nursing standards while supporting staff, physicians and patients with all applicable medical needs.
• Conduct administrative duties – Maintain credentialing documents for the center and it's providers, assist with developing new protocols as needed, ensuring all staff is up to date on compliance training and certifications, mentoring and supporting staff and taking disciplinary action as needed. Selects, trains, orients, and assigns department staff under the supervision of the ASC Director. 
• Investigates and follows through on customer complaints and incidents and appropriately communicates to management.
• Supports implementation of new programs by acting as a role model and providing guidance and direction in practice changes that will improve the quality of patient care.
• Ensure facility is fully stocked with supplies.

Minimum Qualifications
Education

• Valid RN license in the State of Maryland. required and
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

• Minimum 5 years related clinical experience preferred, urology is a plus!
• Management/administration experience is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid RN license in the State of Maryland. required and
• Valid CPR certification required
• Valid ACLS certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Advanced level RN.
• Management, organization, and leadership skills.
• Analytical skill/ability to interpret statistical and financial reports, design control mechanisms, and monitor program performance.
• Ability to direct, coordinate and manage independent decision consistent with hospital policies/procedures/standards.
• Communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve customer relation problems.
• Analytical ability to identify and resolve operational problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred. Allscripts experience is a plus!
• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time  
• Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
