ASDOH - Clinic Sterilization & Dispensary Technician (Float)

Description

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) is seeking applications for a non-exempt, full-time Sterilization Technician to work at the Mesa, AZ Clinic. This position works under the direction of the Inventory Manager and is responsible for sterilizing used instruments and checking out clean instruments to dental students and faculty.

Job Duties:

• Works under the direction of the Inventory Manager Pre-Doc.
• The position is responsible for sterilizing used instruments and checking out clean instruments to dental students and faculty.
• Will serve as a float for the clinic dispensary to cover vacations and absences as needed.
• Complete equipment sterilization daily.
• Maintain dental equipment inventory and supply control system as needed.
• Sterilize used instruments and check out clean instruments to students and/or faculty.
• Sterilization, OSHA Standards, HIPAA regulations experience preferred.

Experience and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of technical training or schooling required.
• Previous sterilization experience and OSHA knowledge required.
• Familiarity with sterilization procedures and supply chain management.
• Familiarity with infection control procedures.
• Previous inventory/supply room experience helpful but not required to implement inventory tracking system.
• Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, comfortable with computers in general.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must be a team player and have the ability to work well under high-pressure situations.
• Must have a mature, professional attitude at all times.
• Must be flexible and organized with the ability to change assignments with little direction.
• Position requires contact and interaction with Students and CCU directors.
