ASHS - Assistant/Associate Professor & Clinical Coordinator II, Physician Assistant Studies

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) is seeking a full-time faculty Clinical Coordinator II at the Assistant/Associate Professor level for Physician Assistant Studies. This position is located on the Mesa, Arizona campus. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular on-site visits of supervised clinical practice experience (SCPE) sites to evaluate student performance, ensure site adequacy, and foster professional relationships.
• Assist in the direction, development, implementation, and evaluation of the clinical curriculum.
• Provide guidance and direction to program staff and faculty involved in the second-year curriculum.
• Network with appropriate offices and departments involved in medical and allied health education, and with external agencies useful or in support of the clinical education of students.
• Develop SCPEs that meet ARC-PA standards.
• Establish and evaluate clinical learning objectives and assessments.
• Recruit, train, and orient clinical preceptors. 
• Create and disseminate educational materials and resources for preceptors.
• Other duties as assigned by Clinical Director and Program Director.

Requirements

• Master's degree required, doctoral degree preferred.
• At least two years of healthcare experience.
• At least one year of educational experience in a faculty leadership role preferred.
• Knowledge of PA practice competencies.
• Strong ability to develop and deliver medical course instruction.
• Possesses an aptitude and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring physician assistant students. 
• Has an understanding of the role and scope of practice of a physician assistant.
• Can work flexibly within a cohesive team environment.
• Is able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Is a self-starter with demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, adept at attention to detail and time management, with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
